The Exposition Feature :: Kelsey Klitzman

We sat down with one of the many winners from The 2019 Exposition, Kelsey Klitzman, to learn a little more about her show ring success with hogs she purchased here on Showpig.com! Congratulations to no only Kelsey, but Stohlquist Show Pigs on raising both of these champion barrows!   What champions did you show at the 2019 Exposition? Third Overall Purebred Barrow (Champion York Barrow) Reserve Champion York Barrow    Who was the breeder? Ryan Stohlquist   What do you do at home to prepare for a show? It all starts with skin and hair and having a daily routine of feeding, weighing, walking, and cleaning.    When you buy a project on showpig.com, what is the first thing you look for on a sale? The first thing we look at when buying a pig off of showpig.com is their pedigree, along with putting a lot of trust in the people we buy our pigs from.    IF you could tell a new showman anything, what would it be? If I could tell a new showman anything it would be give it all that you have because it goes by fast.   What made these wins at the Expo memorable? What is your best memory from the Expo? This Expo was the most memorable for me because I got to share it with my friends and family. Along with being able to compete at the highest level amongst some of the worlds greatest hogs is a memory I will never forget.     What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?  You are only as good as the people you surround yourself with, with that being said, Surround yourself with successful people, watch them, ask questions and one day you will be as successful as the people around you.
